Convolvulus, or bindweed.
Genus of plants of the family Convolvulaceae.
They are characterized by their twining
stems, and by their petals, which are united
into a tube. The field bindweed Convolvulus
arvensis, a trailing plant with handsome
white or pink-and-white-streaked flowers, is
a common weed in Britain.
